On May 21, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission issued a notice on the application guidelines for the "New Energy" project under the 2025 Key Technology R&D Program.
After review, six projects related to hydrogen energy technology were identified: key technologies for the electrocatalytic preparation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from carbon dioxide, key technologies for electrocatalytic ammonia synthesis, development and mass manufacturing technologies for high-performance membrane electrodes in proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis for hydrogen production, key materials for anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis for hydrogen production and design technologies for large-power electrochemical stacks, technologies and applications for small-stack systems of high-power and high-energy-density fuel cells, and key technologies and applications for marine power systems based on hydrogen internal combustion engines.
Among these, the funding amount for each project on key technologies for the electrocatalytic preparation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from carbon dioxide, key technologies for electrocatalytic ammonia synthesis, development and mass manufacturing technologies for high-performance membrane electrodes in proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis for hydrogen production, key materials for anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis for hydrogen production and design technologies for large-power electrochemical stacks, and technologies and applications for small-stack systems of high-power and high-energy-density fuel cells, shall not exceed 3.5 million yuan.
The funding amount for each project on key technologies and applications for marine power systems based on hydrogen internal combustion engines shall not exceed 2 million yuan.
